This incredible 10 night itinerary will take you on a sidecar adventure like no other! The trip includes 8 days of guided hire in which you will twist and turn your way along some of the UK's most scenic roads. It's an entirely road based itinerary and you'll rack up an average of 140 miles a day, across 8 riding days (with 2 rest days at the festival). The trip will take in England's best riding with a winding route through the North Pennines, the Lake District, The Peak District, The Cotswolds Dartmoor, Exmoor and the Yorkshire Dales. We are taking in almost everything England has to offer!

The trip includes 8.5 days guided hire of Ural motorcycle and sidecar, OGA qualified guides, 7 nights in 3 star or above hotels, 3 nights luxury glamping at The Armchair Adventure Festival, tickets to the festival, fuel, insurance, 7 breakfasts and one evening meal.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?
This experience requires a minimum of two people to take part. If you would like to do it on your own you can do, just click the single supplement fee when booking (£1,450 or £950 when riding your own sidecar). To take part as a rider in this experience, you must:

Have a full motorcycle license with less than 6 penalty points on it.

Be over the age of 25.

Have already done at least a one day sidecar experience with us or have proven experience of riding motorcycles and sidecars (if you would like to ride and you haven't already done an experience there's plenty of time to get the experience before and you will receive 20% off your experience day if you book it alongside this tour),
To take part as a passenger in this experience, you must:

ITINERARY
Day 1 - Refresher/packing/shakedown ride
We'll meet at 14:00 for an afternoon of getting to know the team and refamilarising ourselves with riding a motorcycle and sidecar. You'll be given the opportunity to spend some time packing your bike before taking it out for a spin on our test track and a few local roads to get used to the outfit.

We'll then head over to a local hotel where we'll have a welcome dinner to celebate the start of this awesome adventure.
​
Day 2 - North Pennines and Lake District
Time to shackle up the sidecars and set sail on this adventure of a life time. We'll ride south east along some of our local favourite Northumberland back roads before dropping down on to the North Pennines. Riding at a steady pace, there will be time for pictures and plenty of breaks as we climb up and over the famous Hartside Pass where you'll get magnificent views across Cumbria. We'll then ride down through the Lakes before pulling in for the night at a lovely hotel on the shores of Windemere.
This is a planned itinerary but plans can change - it's all part of the adventure!
Day 3 - Forest of Bowland and Peak District
After a hearty breakfast and a strong cup of coffee, we'll hit the road again. Setting off south along the shores of Windemere, we'll ride out of the Lakes and into the Forest of Bowland. We'll spend the day twisting through rugged fells as we leave Bowland behind and ride down the spine of the Peak district before pulling in for another night in a charming country pub.

Day 4 - Shropshire Hills and Wye Valley
By day 4, all memory of two wheeled riding will be in your wing mirror and you'll be a sidecar natural. You'll spend the day perfecting the timing of your acceleration and braking as you take some magnificent, twisty roads through the Shropshire Hills and the Wye Valley. It's a spin along the Welsh border and it's a blooming beautiful. You'll stay the night in a proper country pub in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Day 5 - Mendips, Dartmoor and Armchair Adventure Festival
The final ride of the first leg of this epic sidecar adventure will see you take on some absolutely knock out scenery through the Mendips and across Dartmoor. You'll be taking the scenic route and it is magnificent. This was one of our favourite rides when we did it on our UK tour last year. You'll board the Torpoint ferry at the end of the day and it will feel like you're heading overseas as you sail towards your destination of The Armchair Adventure Festival!

Day 6 and 7 - The Armchair Adventure Festival
You'll be guests of honour at The Armchair Adventure Festival. It's our very own festival that we organise once a year in the most beautiful location. The sidecar theme wont end here and you can expect to sip a pint of Armchair Ale in 'The Three Wheels', our festival pub, before hearing tales of sidecar adventures on the main stage. There's of course all kinds of other speakers too, from polar explorers to ocean rowers, we genuinely gather the world's leading adventurers for the UK's best celebration of adventure travel.

You'll be camped in the best location with a luxury bell tent. Expect a proper bed, mattress, duvet, bed sheets, rugs, flowers and even fairy lights in your home for the three nights. There's nice hot showers and proper toilets too. It's a festival but it's luxury glamping! Only the best local live bands will grace the stage in the evening with some of the best sounds the south west has to offer, You can also enjoy great street food and a warm up by the campfire while you're onsite.

As well as tales of adventure, there will be chance to take on your own mini adventures too. With kayaking, paddleboarding and coasteering all available or if you prefer you can unwind with a visit to the onsite wellness zone where you'll find a sauna, massage options and other wellness activities (some activities incur additional charges).

Your sidecars will be commandeered and you wont have access to them on the Friday or Saturday as we'll be using them for a display and to show other festival goers what fun three wheels can be! You can enjoy the festival instead and the break will do you good as you've got another full on 4 days ride heading north!
Day 8 - Lazy morning at AAF and Exmoor
The Armchair Adventure Festival finishes at 15:00 but we wont stay for the full day as there's riding to be done! After a hearty breakfast and maybe a wild swim, we'll head north up the Tamar valley and on to Exmoor where we'll settle in to a nice country pub for the evening.

Day 9 - Cheddar Gorge and The Cotswolds
More cheese Gromit? It's time to channel your inner Wallace and Gromit as you twist along one of the UK's most scenic roads to the home of British cheese. A quick stop for a taste of the good stuff before you ride north through the Cotswolds. As the sun sets, you'll drop down the magnificent Fish hill for a night in the quaint village of Broadway.

Day 10 - The Cotswolds and The Peak District
Taking the backroads, we'll ride up past Birmingham and onto the Peak District via the beautiful town of Matlock Bath. Then, taking a totally different yet equally scenic route than we did going south, we'll head back across The Peaks. We'll stay in a hotel just north of the Peaks leaving us in reach of one final ride back to base the following day.

Day 11 - Yorkshire Dales, North Pennines and finish
Your final ride on this amazing adventure will see you ride across the Yorkshire Dales and back up through the Pennines to our Sidecar Experience centre in Morpeth. The trip will officially finish when we arrive back at the centre at around 17:00 and you have the option to head off home or add an extra night on at the hotel you started in.
YOUR GUIDES
Matt and Reece will be busy building, hosting and packing down the Armchair Adventure Festival so this one will be guided by members of our awesome team. They're all great fun and excellent guides.
RIDING STYLE
As this is a guided hire trip there is no option to ride on your own. We will all ride at a set pace that will be determined by our guides. It will be a truly awesome experience to ride across England in a convoy of fantastic looking sidecar outfits!
SUPPORT
There wont be a support van on this one. Just a convoy of sidecars! We're aiming for 6 sidecars in total with two being ridden by your guides. We will distribute spares and tools amongst the team and we will be a self supported convoy of sidecars riding top to bottom of England!
