Discover Northumberland’s craft beer scene the sidecar way! Hop aboard for a unique ride along quiet country lanes, visiting some of the region’s brilliant local breweries and getting a taste of what they do best. With great beer, cracking scenery and a few unexpected stops along the way, it’s a proper Northumberland adventure with a little something extra for the beer lovers.
We’ll round things off back at The Drunken Baker in Cresswell, our own bar and bottle shop, where you can grab a bite to eat and enjoy another drink before heading home.
TAPROOM TOUR HALF DAY
£195pp / 3 hours / Minimum 2 people
Fancy a proper taste of Northumberland? Join us for a three-hour sidecar adventure combining quiet country lanes, beautiful countryside and some of the region’s best craft beer. We’ll visit two of our favourite local breweries, where you’ll enjoy a complimentary taster at each stop, with plenty of room in the sidecar boot to take home a few bottles of your new favourite.
We’ll then head back to Cresswell to finish at our own Drunken Baker bar, where a third complimentary drink awaits. With great beer, cracking scenery and a unique way to travel between stops, it’s the perfect experience for anyone who enjoys a craft beer and a bit of adventure.

A private guide, one motorbike and sidecar outfit shared between two people (one in sidecar one on the pillion seat), 3 comlimentary drinks and beer snacks.

TAPROOM TOUR FULL DAY
£295pp / 6 hours / Minimum 2 people
Ready to take the long way round? Join us for a full-day sidecar adventure exploring Northumberland’s craft beer scene, with quiet country lanes, beautiful countryside and some of the region’s finest independent breweries along the way. We’ll visit four stops, enjoying a complimentary taster at each brewery and plenty of opportunities to discover new favourites and pick up a few bottles to take home.

One of the highlights is a visit to Alnwick’s famous Dirty Bottles, steeped in local legend and said to be connected to the mysterious death of a landlord in 1725. Whether fact or folklore, it’s a fascinating piece of Northumberland history and the perfect spot to stop for a light lunch.
We’ll finish back at our own Drunken Baker bar in Cresswell, where you can enjoy a final complimentary drink and relax after a day of great beer, hidden roads and unforgettable sidecar adventures.

WHAT TO EXPECT

All experiences are based on two people sharing one sidecar. One person sits in the sidecar seat and one sits on the pillion seat (behind the rider). It's easy to upgrade to two bikes if you would like a sidecar each but you need to let us know in advance or select that option on the booking form.

All guides are trained in sidecar riding and are OGA qualified motorcycle guides.

All experiences are private guided so we go at your pace.

FUN! Our experiences are exhilarating and without a doubt the best way to adventure in the North East.

Safety first. We take safety really seriously and only travel at safe legal speeds. Sidecars are a thrill at 30mph! Plus we can provide helmets and other safety equipment if you don't have your own.​

Pick up and drop off. Prices and times are based on departing from our experience centre but we can also do hotel pick up and drop offs.
