Who Are The Sidecar Guys?

We’re Matt Bishop and Reece Gilkes — better known as The Sidecar Guys — adventurers, world-record holders and lifelong fans of all things on three wheels.

Our journey with sidecars has taken us around the world. We hold the world record for the longest circumnavigation of the globe on a scooter and sidecar, as well as the record for the longest distance ever reversed on a motorbike and sidecar. Along the way we’ve crossed continents, tackled some questionable roads and developed a deep appreciation for the unique charm of travelling by sidecar.

Sidecars are unlike anything else on the road — part motorbike, part teamwork, and always a lot of fun.

We created Sidecar Experience because we wanted more people to discover just how brilliant they are. As the UK’s only dedicated place to experience life on three wheels, we give people the chance to ride in, learn to drive, and experience the thrill of a sidecar outfit for themselves.

When we’re not running experiences, we also run Drift Café in Cresswell, a popular stop for cyclists, travellers and adventurers, and we’re the founders of the Armchair Adventure Festival, the UK’s leading celebration of adventure travel.
